There is increasingly large-scale agreement that we need faster Ethereum consensus.
Blobs run the risk of wasting Ethereum’s finite resources. Every unit of bandwidth or compute spent on blobs is capacity that cannot go toward faster consensus, and we still do not know every trade-off required to go sub-second.
Burning scarce room on blobs is irresponsible.
Why, then, are we trying to scale blobs?
Perhaps this is a false trade-off. If so, why?
