Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $178 million in net inflows, with BlackRock’s IBIT contributing $138 million.
Japan-listed company Metaplanet has acquired 518 BTC for ~$61.4 million at ~$118,519 per bitcoin. As of 8/12/2025, Metaplanet hold 18,113 BTC acquired for ~$1.85 billion at ~$101,911 per bitcoin.
Jack Dorsey’s Block Inc. is advancing Bitcoin adoption through its subsidiaries Cash App, Square, and Bitkey.
Block holds 8,584 BTC at an average purchase price of $30,405. Square enables U.S. merchants to accept BTC payments, Cash App integrates the Lightning Network and recorded $10B in BTC revenue in 2024, while Bitkey offers self-custody hardware for everyday users.
According to Bloomberg, Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon may plead guilty in a U.S. fraud case over the $40 billion collapse of the TerraUSD stablecoin in 2022. U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer has set a change-of-plea hearing for Tuesday and asked Kwon to be ready to explain his conduct.
YouTube rival and Bitcoin treasury Rumble wants to boost its global AI cloud capabilities by acquiring Germany's Northern Data.
Rumble said Monday that it has proposed a deal to gain control of Northern Data's cloud business, Taiga, and its large-scale data center arm, Ardent, in a $1.17 billion all-stock transaction.
SharpLink Gaming is raising a further $400 million to expand its Ethereum treasury, with the firm expecting its total ETH holdings to top $3 billion soon thereafter.
