To whoever bought that Bored Ape for 666 $ETH last night, I’ve got bad news for you:
Bored Apes aren’t coming back.
Even if you’re betting on an upcoming NFT season (so am I), you can’t just rotate into dino collections that offer nothing but a PFP.
That’s like buying $ADA or $LTC just because you expect a bull run.
The meta has shifted.
You want NFTs with strong leadership, real brand direction, and distribution through highly aligned, mission-driven communities.
Look at what @LucaNetz has built with @pudgypenguins, or what @spencer is doing with @moonbirds right now.
I expect even more cult-like leaders to emerge and follow their example.
The only real exception is CryptoPunks. They’ve earned legacy status and are cultural artifacts by now. They’ll probably hit new highs we can’t even imagine.
But that Bored Ape era is over. They had their chance, and they wasted it.
Accept it and move on. There’s still time to rotate into winners.
