The market has signaled for the last ~year that it very much has an appetite for chains and apps which offer: → Higher capacity → Lower latency First it was Solana. Now it's Hyperliquid. Whether people want to admit it or not, they may have over-indexed on just how decentralized every single component of the stack needed to be. The circular nature of reintroducing problems to the rollup roadmap nearly made me leave the ecosystem entirely. > Mainnet has MEV problems due to decentralized block building > Mostly fixes this of 7yr > Introduce rollups which structurally do not have to have these problems > "wE sHoUlD dEcEnTrAlIzE eVeRyThInG" > Reintro MEV problems to L2s, but compound it with L1<>L2 MEV opps All while being lower capacity and more costly than Solana. Literally the worst of all worlds. Thankfully, there are teams making a bet in the other direction. Like Mega. Decentralized where it makes sense, and centralized where it doesn't. All in the name of performance and, ultimately, UX. I'm very confident that this is where the industry is going. Will just take time for everyone to wake up, like it always does.
