Protect users from practical security risks 2. Scale 3. Protect users from theoretical security risks Practical security and scale take precedence over theoretical security. This prioritization is evident when you realize that most theoretical security discussions are narratives with little impact on end users. Take DAS as an example, which is often mentioned as a security measure. Solutions like Celestia’s DAS only work under the assumption that the adversary is naive, providing limited guarantees in real life. We believe adversaries are intelligent, so DAS, in its current form, offers minimal additional practical security and is therefore not our top priority. Nonetheless, it does create a compelling narrative. From adoption and results, our prioritization is paying off. We’ve attracted a group of fundamental innovators building for the future of Ethereum. For them, we have already scaled to 100 MB/s on the mainnet (announcement imminent), which is 75 times faster than our competitor. In Q3, while we take a break from scaling (or are we?), we will focus on some theoretical questions -addressing them with realistic rigor.
