a random observation: token screeners can become excellent social platforms. for instance, the community (or cto leader) of this token mimi keeps changing the dexscreener banner every few days - depending on the community vibe. similarly, we recently updated the dexscreener banner for @thesendcoincom to reflect all 3 arms: ai, mobile, and gaming. while the on-chain metadata like image or description for most tokens is immutable (can't be changed) - to avoid rugs, this presents a fun opportunity for a token to evolve as a social meme. i see the token icon as a fixed pfp for the meme and the banners as its ongoing posts. only con: the current process is v centralised. if someone pays $300 to dexscreener, they get access to the token dashboard to edit such banners and descriptions. would be cool if this were a native feature in screeners/launchpads that aim to be more social like @jup_studio, @pumpdotfun, @moonshot, @AxiomExchange; where the token pfp stays fixed (immutable), but banners are dynamic. and yes, pump says: tokens are a unique social instrument. it's time to takeover.
