Starknet Staking v2 goes live next week on Mainnet!
This upgrade marks a key milestone, bringing another step into Starknet's decentralization journey.
To ensure a smooth migration, the protocol will be paused for a few hours on June 17, giving all operators time to upgrade their validators.
For delegators, the migration is seamless, no steps needed on your side.
See you next week đ«Ą
1/ Weâre thrilled to announce that STRK Staking v2 is going live on Mainnet on June 17!
This upgrade brings two key features for validators:
> Block Attestation: Validators will now need to attest to randomly selected blocks during each epoch, proving theyâre actively tracking the network and reliable.
> Commission Adjustments: Validators will be able to raise their commission, but only under strict conditions designed to protect delegators.
More details on both features in the next tweets.
To enable this upgrade on Mainnet, the staking contracts will be paused for a few hours, allowing the migration from v1 to v2 and giving validators time to integrate.
As a delegator, thereâs nothing you need to do for this migration. But once v2 is live on June 17, validator liveness metrics will become visible, a key factor for your rewards. Keep an eye on it and re-delegate if necessary.
See you next week for the migration đ«”
